As a professional firefighter and registered nurse with an Associate of Science in Emergency Medical Services and an Associate of Science in Nursing, as well diverse professional teaching experience in a medical setting, Jeff Carlsen offers a unique perspective to Atrium CPR students, both as a medical professional and a passionate AHA educator.
Jeff's broad teaching experience runs the gamut from instructor at Citrus County Fire Academy, Captain and Preceptor with Hernando County Fire Rescue and nursing educator at a local hospital. As a professional firefighter and educator, Jeff maintains the following certifications: Firefighter I & II, EMT, Paramedic, Fire Instructor I, Fire Safety Inspector I, Fire Officer I & II, Registered Nurse, and AHA Instructor. Not only is Jeff an active Registered Nurse and Fire Captain in Hernando County, he also holds a deep personal commitment and passion for teaching and training other medical professionals to excel in their field. Jeff has taught thousands of AHA class hours to medical professionals of all levels—helping them grow professionally through education.

Whether managing a fire scene with the fire department, triage nursing in the ER or nursing educator in the classroom, Jeff's emergency medical know-how and versatility combined with a gift for communicating in an easily understood and practical way is a major asset to his students and a key to the incredible success of Atrium CPR. Jeff lives with his wife and two young children on Florida's Nature Coast. From there, Jeff travels throughout central Florida attending workshops in addition to his teaching and work schedule.
